Only here one night after getting off the Tasmanian ferry. We booked previously, and the owner asked for the fee upfront. We dont blame him, as people in the past have booked for a night, got in late, and left early before he could charge them for the spot. We think the upfront charge is fair and reasonable. In a lovely spot, walk to town. Easy drive through sites. Good amenities. Easy drive from the ferry terminal. We will stay longer when we return.
Huge park on the river. Great for picnics
A really great location within a 10 minute walk to Latrobe town and 60 - 90 minutes drive to most Nth. Tasmanian attractions. Probably he best amenties I have ever experienced in a caravan park. The powered sites are a bit small but will fit a caravan or a motorhome.
Park itself is OK, totally fenced in across road to river. We love the arty shop, Belly's diner, platypus hunting at dusk. Useful stop prior to ferry to mainland.
We stayed in a power site with a slab. $35 per night. A small caravan park but has different offers, from free camp to self contained cabins. Amenities are serviceable. Near by park is very pretty. It is closed to town.
